Beach wear and swim wear are the most common forms of bathing suits. Fabric is such suit that is selected keeping in the view that the fabric should not become wet while taking a bath. Bathing suit fabric means the fabric used in the bathing suits. Polyester and nylon had been the most popular fabric which was used in making the bathing used all over the World. Now a days, new fabrics and techniques are being used to add UV protection to the bathing cloth. Now synthetic materials are used to make bathing suits. These materials include polyester, Lycra (spandex) and nylon. The selection of these materials is due to many reasons. One reason is that these materials are comfortable. During taking bath at swimming pools or at beaches, you must feel comfortable to have a proper bath. The second reason is that these materials keep their shape. This is one of the big advantages of using such materials because when you want taking bath you must feel easy and relaxed and this is possible if and only if your suit keeps its shape and does not get stick with your body.

Third reason is that these fabrics are elastic. This advantage keep you relaxed while taking bath otherwise a rigid an inelastic fabric can cause you feels uneasy. Fourth reason of using these fabrics is that they are quick drying. It means that when you take your bath, your bathing suit gets dry soon automatically. For these reasons, the said fabrics are in general use of making bathing suits. But there are some disadvantages attached with these fabrics as well.

Lycra is a little bit harsh fabric and rough surfaces can break them easily. Hot water and washing machines can also damage the said fabric. A long time bathing in water can also weaken the fabric. Lycra is the most comfortable bathing suit besides its all disadvantages. On the other side, Polyester is the most durable fabric but as comfortable as Lycra is. Your bathing suit is made of which fabric does not matter a lot when you take care of your bathing suit properly because care is better than cure.
